Jaded - Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus: A 20 year journey towards the biggest album of her career so far

Miley Cyrus is back, and she's giving us a love letter to Los Angeles in her latest album, "Endless Summer Vacation." The album is a refreshing new take on Miley's sound, bringing back the pop ballads that first brought her fame while also embracing the ocean vibe that characterises California's Pacific Coast.

The album's lead single, "Flowers," has been dominating the charts, marking her second number one single after her hit song "Wrecking Ball" ten years ago. The mellow dance track provides the perfect soundtrack to clear your head, and it's a perfect example of the album's sound, which is both refreshing and upbeat.

Outside of “Flowers”, the standout song on the album for me is "Jaded." It's a straight-out pop ballad that showcases Miley's vocal prowess, and it captures the sound of "Endless Summer Vacation" perfectly. The track is drenched in the ocean vibe, and it's the perfect accompaniment to a sun-kissed drive down the Pacific Coast Highway.

Miley Cyrus has been in the public eye for over two decades, and throughout her career, she has reinvented herself time and time again. From her Disney days to her anti-pop and R&B era, Miley has shown herself to be an artist who isn't afraid to take risks and try new things. With "Endless Summer Vacation," Miley has delivered an album that feels like a grown-up version of her early work. The slate feels clean, and it's a breath of fresh air.
