Nas & Hit Boy create my favourite beat of the year by sampling a 1991 movie scene.

The legendary rapper has been on a roll in recent years, teaming up with producer Hit Boy for a series of highly-regarded albums. The latest of these is Kings Disease 3, and the standout track from the album is the infectious and soulful "Legit".

Nas's rhymes are as sharp as ever on this track, but what really sets it apart is the production. Hit Boy takes a sample from the 1991 film The Five Heartbeats and flips it into a beat that is impossibly catchy and soulful. It's the kind of sample that only someone like Nas could do justice to, and he delivers with his characteristic energy and flow.
