Crave - Paramore

Paramore take their natural step back into best in class music on ‘This Is Why’

Paramore, one of the biggest names in the emo and pop punk scenes, is back with a new album after four long years. Their self-imposed hiatus was necessary to escape the stress and pressure of touring and to reflect on their legacy, as well as to create new music with a renewed sense of purpose.

Their new album, "This Is Why," feels fresh and innovative, despite their influence on the current mainstream sound. The break seems to have allowed the band to come up with new ideas and approaches to their music, which is evident in the tracks they've released so far.

The One of One featured today is "Crave," a song that perfectly represents the album's themes of fear and longing. Hayley Williams' vocals shine, as always, and the track's melody and instrumentation are engaging and captivating.

Paramore's legacy in the emo and pop punk scenes is undeniable, but their return to music is not just an attempt to cash in on the renewed interest in the genre. Instead, it's a reminder that the band is still here, creating new music with the same passion and energy they had when emo wasn't cool.

It's exciting to see Paramore back and better than ever, and "This Is Why" feels like a testament to their legacy while still being a fresh and innovative take on their sound. The album is definitely worth a listen, and "Crave" is a great introduction to what Paramore has to offer in 2023.
