Mi Amor - Artemas

Artemas: The self-made Oxford musician with the anti pop creativity of Kevin Abstract

I recently discovered the new song "Mi Amor" by Artemas and was blown away by its quality. The style reminded me of artists like Brockhampton and Kevin Abstract. However, Artemas is from Oxford and currently living in South London, having been inspired by the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers & Nirvana growing up.

Artemas writes, records, and produces all of his own music. Yet, the level of talent and attention to detail in this track is on par with established artists like Kevin Abstract, Steve Lacy, and Dominik Fike. Despite being only two minutes long, "Mi Amor" packs a punch with a catchy chorus and strong lyrics within the first five lines. It's clear that Artemas has mastered the art of creating catchy music.

I'm excited to see what the future holds for Artemas. He has already made a name for himself, having opened for Rex Orange County and performing at The Great Escape festival in May. His first mixtape was released last year, and it looks like he's set for a big year in 2023.
