Rescued - Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters pay tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins with a refuge in rock on 'Rescued'.
They finally announced it... "But Here We Are”. Thats the album title. The 11th album to come from Foo Fighters after a nearly 20 year long career, but this is also the first album in a brand new chapter for the band, as the first release since the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins, an anchor for the band both on and off stage.
Foo Fighters was initially formed as a one-man band by Dave Grohl, who previously played drums for Nirvana. The band has always been a refuge for Grohl and a way to work through grief the only way he knows how, by creating music that remains positive and accepting no matter the circumstances.
The band has rallied together to pay tribute to Hawkins by channeling every ounce of energy into this new music. The lead single, "Rescued," is a reminder that even amidst grief, rage, and sorrow, we are still alive. The album title itself serves as a stark reminder of the struggles they've faced but also highlights their resilience and ability to move forward.
"Rescued" is a brilliant new song that marks the beginning of something new for Foo Fighters. The sound of the track aligns closer to those early albums from the band and remains just as explosive as ever in true Foo Fighters style. The album, which will be released on June 2nd, features 10 tracks and promises a summer of headline shows and festivals.
